Ongoing Clinical Research Projects

There are many active areas of research that are focused on understanding more about the disease and finding treatments that might slow the disease.

Clinical trials and clinical research projects:

ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT00891527
Study Hospital: Boston Children’s Hospital ( Boston, USA)
Drug Trial:  Bevacizumab (Avastin) and Imatinib Mesylate (Gleevec)
Status: This study is ongoing, but not recruiting participants

2. Pilot Trial: the Safety and Feasibility of Losartan for Pulmonary Vein Stenosis
ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT02769130
Study Hospital: Hospital for Sick Children ( Toronto, Canada)
Drug Trial: Losartan
Status: This study is currently recruiting participants

3. Genetics determinants of pulmonary vein stenosis
This is a multi-institutional study that will use whole genome sequencing to understand the genetic determinants of PVS using a trios approach ( parents and affected child).
Study Hospital: Hospital for Sick Children ( Toronto, Canada) for the PVS Network
Status: This study is currently recruiting participants
