Advancing Clinical Care for Children with PVS
Pulmonary vein stenosis remains a disease with high mortality, despite advancements in surgical and catheter based techniques. Research focused on disease mechanisms will provide insights into pulmonary vein pathophysiology and the targeted application of experimental therapies. In addition, the need for multi-institutional collaboration to advance care for these children is paramount and will allow for many outstanding questions regarding optimal treatment strategies and surveillance imaging to be answered.
